Netflix's 'Masters of the Universe: Revelation' teaser is here to transport you back to the '80s
Remember the days of the mighty He-Man, whose muscle-bound cartoon form first graced our screens in the early '80s?
Well, he's about to rise again. On Friday, Netflix dropped its teaser for Masters of the Universe: Revelation, a cartoon superhero series that will follow on from where the classic TV show left off.
Chris Wood stars as He-Man himself (who's looking more ripped than ever), while Mark Hamill voices Skeletor (!) and Lena Headey pops up as Evil-Lyn.
It's closer to 2002 series in terms of animation style
ReplyDeleteMark Hamill is literally the definition of "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" ;D
ReplyDeleteFrom Skywalker all the way to Skelator
Well he was already the Joker long ago.
DeleteDont forget Skywalker-sequel. Loll
DeleteNgl I got chills. Netflix like "Oh, everyone watching anime now? Hold my beer."
ReplyDeleteHats off to Netflix for throwing the perfect soundtrack to this trailer.
ReplyDeletePerfect sound track would been hiring Manowar to write it for the show.
DeleteEveryone: wow this looks so amazing!!
ReplyDeleteMe: new skeletor, new skeletor memes hehe
Everything felt right on that trailer, then Mark's evil laughter just killed me...
ReplyDelete38 year old female checking in. Im so freaking excited for this!!! The animation looks amazing! I just watched this like 5 times. im hyped!
ReplyDeleteYou too young. hahahaha. Just kidding
Delete“I HAVE THE POWER!!!”
ReplyDeleteI got instant chills.
0:54 - 1:06 is perfectly synched with the music, and I love it
ReplyDeletethis looks EPIC!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy was the maltese cross changed out, though? The stylized H on the harness almost looks like a Hordak symbol. That almost gave me a heart attack when I saw the thumbnail.
It's a nod to the old Battle-Armor He-Man, I kinda like it! But yeah, would pref the maltese... :P I think there's some type of un-woke problems with that tho, so what can ya do :/
DeleteThe look is perfect, in line of the 80’s show
ReplyDeleteI love how over the top 80s this looks.
ReplyDelete"Gentlemen, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention."
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteYes, yes..that too
DeleteIt looks fantastic
ReplyDeleteHowever, call me cynical but I can't see He-Man being in it much. I mean he's a blue eyed blonde haired ultra masculine white male, he's basically the devil in the eyes of many in the industry
I bet you that all of these scenes are from the first episode.
ReplyDeleteMeaning that all the other episodes will only show characters sitting on chairs and talking?
DeleteI used to watch this all the time when I was a kid. So glad to see it coming back
ReplyDeleteSorceress: How much power do you want?
ReplyDeleteHe-Man: Yes
How many original memes do you have?
DeleteMemer: No.
Nothing is original on youtube senorita
DeleteMark Hamill is a god damned national treasure.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most epic songs of all time playing over one of the greatest heroes of all time
ReplyDeleteMy man Orko looks like hes gonna get to hold it down a little bit in this show im in
ReplyDelete0:27
ReplyDeleteThis scene is somewhat similar to the birth of the Skeletor in 2002's The Masters of The Universe.
If this isn’t about he man and is about teela I will cry cuz this trailer makes me happy
ReplyDeletePlease, give a raise to whoever edited this trailer.
ReplyDeleteNEXT: THUNDERCATS AND SILVERHAWKS.
And the animators
DeletePerfectly said!
