MOJANG holding back their tears while watching this,wondering where they went wrong when accepting warner bro's request to make a film about their game.
The Minecraft community, which already rose up in a revolution during the Mod Vote 2023, now demands that their complaints about the movie be heard. The use of live action and CGI is taking away from the essence of the game we love so much. The clumsy integration of realistic human characters and mobs does not represent the aesthetics of Minecraft. This movie should be fully animated. The community deserves a faithful adaptation that respects the style of the game and its legacy!
The computer graphic imaging looks like it was created using cheap AI, it feels like they’re unintentionally breaking the forth wall by adding real people into the game rather than blocky characters from the game itself , and to add insult to injury, they hire Jack Black as Steve. It doesn’t even do a good job of explaining how the characters got into the game other than there being a portal they walk away from. It’s like they just yell “MINECRAFT” at you rather than introducing the world they came from, the characters and how they’ve learned about Minecraft or whatever. Just because Super Mario Bros., FNAF, and Sonic were a hit, doesn’t mean Minecraft has to be. Frankly, how would you make it a good flick?
I WOULD HAVE BEEN ECSTATIC IF THEY MADE A MINECRAFT STORY MODE MOVIE, OR EVEN SOMETHING LIKE SONGS OF WAR OR RAINIMATOR?! OR JUST A FULLY ANIMATED MINECRAFT MOVIE!
Jumanji with squares? They made it Jumanji with squares? They had the BALLS to make one of the most influential indie games of all time into JUMANJI WITH SQUARES?!
This is absolutely terrible. they need to recreate the entire movie. I'm talking about the animation, the background, the cgi, the characters, the mobs,everything. After all these years of waiting for this moment, I have never been so disappointed in my life. I mean, why couldn't they just make it animated and have voice actors. It took them over a decade to make this, and this is the best they can do, wanner brothers, shame on you.. I'm I'm not paying to watch this movie in 2025 for this, no sir. Even a 15 year old can make a better film than this. Everything needs to change, the backgrounds, the nature, everything. The animation should be less realistic and more like the actual video game or minecraft story mode. Instead of adding the actors in the game, they should be voice acting instead. The background and nature does not look cool at all. Even the piglins look terrible and ghasts.. They need to start all over again and hire some real minecraft editors who know the game. I don't care If have to wait until 2035 to undo this project, but they need to recreate the entire thing all over again. This looks like something a five year old did. This is just really sad and disappointing. The director who created this needs to do better.
This is the THIRD time Jack Black has been cast in a video game adaptation. Hollywood really thinks him and Chris Pratt are their lucky charms to make them billions of dollars.
I think the movie should have been animated to look like the game. Then they could have had the characters in the movie create a portal that would transport them into the real world. That would have been a lot better than having real people come to the Minecraft Universe.

It should be noted that the Batman Beyond animated film, with the animation style of the Spider-Verse films, was SCRAPPED for THIS abomination...I hate you, WB ️🤦♂️
You know what Paramount did with the original Sonic the Hedgehog movie you should do that too. Like a full cgi film where Jack Black is the voice actor of Steve and not a guy in a blue t shirt.
what the minecraft movie needed is like when the gang was just chilling in real life, they saw a blue block floating in places and when they built it up they made a portal to minecraft. when they got inside, they seemed confused why are they so blocky? until they found a guy named steve and steve told the whole story.

I miss story mode but this is actually really cool In my opinion... I'm not sure anything will beat mcsm and the fact that the admin was my favorite character ever but I'll give this a try
btw if anyone's wondering why that sign says 'the exploding pig', the creeper was actually a pig originally, just notch did a bad job and got a cool mob out of it
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hollywood is allowed to create films such as The Minecraft Movie without repercussions or a boycott from fans that deserve more. Spread the word, and boycott the film. No fans should be served this slop after being loyal. This is one of the most well known games in the world, and the fans that love the games and spend hours on it and were nostalgic from it, all received this as restitution for their service to the community.
I’m sorry I thought this was supposed to be about Steve and Alex having to go on an adventure to destroy the ender dragon, you know like how the game technically goes according to the story. What’s this? I would very much rather see the actual story acted out since it takes forever to do the actual game alone.

The biggest difference is the characters in the Jumanji film was... the jumanji characters instead of the peoples that got sucked into the game.
