This is my personal blog, which is about news in general. we have a collaboration, with Mashable. my blog It's called ''Find a way out of reality'' why?, I ask you that question. find a way to escape reality.
read it how you want to. If you are not a citizen you are not afforded the rights as a citizen. You are probably ok supporting illegals while we have homeless citizens
I read your points and they are all just you...all have same rights under constitution. Take that how it reads. Constitution was not made for our own translation. Anyways...Thanks for your feedback .
if they are just me then why are 77+ million Americans saying deport illegals? Obviously illegals donāt have the same rights as citizens. Agreed the constitution is written how it is and it doesnāt say come over here to be a freeloader, rape and kill citizens either.
not the patriots!! I mean am i have to explain this like for a 12yrs old? This country was going down by the head! Streets were unsafe like a third world country! Like i mean I don't know how to put this for you
I used to live in Europe, and let me tell you - bc you obviously have no clue about how most of the world lives - streets in America are safe enough. We need enough police, and we need less guns among population. Current president is doing everything to destabilize the country for the sake of self-enrichment. Whatever he does is making all of us less safe. Here - explained it to you as if you were 6.
yup! And that's exactly what our country is missing lately! To be Normal, Powerful, Rich and clean and safe! Not just random losers who we don't know what they're standing for or which country actually they're representing!
he Dems are DONE! Did you see their efforts in the last electionofferings? They had a great run though. That's, precisely, why the other team got the ball. Sad... a good land, good people with no choices.
I wouldnāt give anything a ānoā right now. Unfortunately, everything is in the table - free speech isnāt so clear anymore. Regardless, not certain āpotentialā citizens have free speech rights.
explain and expand... How does this stop their right to 'free speech' when a person is Entering the U.S. from another country, and they are simply 'viewing' their posts?
I think it's hilarious that so many people commenting are freaking out this simply wanting to view people's posts to determine what type of person they are violates some rights.....
If you post, then you're putting something out for everyone to see.
Dome want someone to know something, don't post about it.
First, I can love my country and hate the way it's being led, for the most part. In my opinion, we're being led down the road to fascism and that's because I read! And I understand what I've read. Second, do NOT tell me to leave my country because I don't approve of the current government. I choose instead to stay and fight for what I believe is the right way to accomplish an agenda. Third, given the misspellings and absolutely horrific grammar I see here, dismantling departments like the Department of Education is just ludicrous. Fourth, having read the Art of the Deal, it is rife with Nazi propaganda such as "If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth." And, finally, free speech is part of the Constitution and should never be impeded by anyone or anything! There's no need to dig up McCarthy; he's alive and well and living in the Oval Office in the form of a man who despises criticism and uses revenge and threats to get his way.
Seeing that we have illegal aliens gaining popularity on social media by teaching people how to steal people's identities while bragging about how much money they made committing these felonies, I would say that this is a good thing for vetting prospective U.S. citizens.
Right now they will just use Ai to go out and scan through all these social media sites and get a summary at first. Later on Iām sure they will have deep links into social media sites who will get paid auto automatically determined if they are ātrue patriotsā kind of like how china has a social credit system. They will start with immigrants wanting to come here and then move on to legal immigrants then naturally born citizens of immigrants then every citizen. This is why we need to stand up now, they will eventually come for you
Were Trump to decide he wants to know who are the never Trumpers in the U.S., he just has to talk with those sitting behind him at the inauguration (really his buddies from Facebook and Google). Almost the entire U.S. population would become politically outed & defined, right there.
We're not to that point at all, but then again we're only a month in, the night is young. Would The Donald want this? Oh yes, he would.
The officer examining the social media accounts could be a Trump supporter or a liberal. Liberals generally do not punish Trump supporters. Trump supporting officer will definitely use their power to deny citizenship to an immigrant if they find any anti-trump content in social media. To err on the side of caution - Everyone applying for citizenship in the coming years will now start publishinig Pro-Trump stuff on social media. We live in an amazing time - Wow!!
It may be useful to control terrorism at least. Since so much communication between terrorists has been conveyed through social media, this may be a better way to monitor it. But then again, since it is a Trump product, it's very likely a violation of their civil rights.
Most terror organizations use encrypted channels though. They generally never share on public accounts. So it may be a waste of time. Also they are communicating this publicly, so now the bad guys know.
Seems reasonable. I'm pretty sure the United States more or less already does this since 2019. The Biden administration proposed extending these checks but never got around to implementing that extension.
If you're posting on social media to endorse and support the activities of proscribed terrorist organisations, for example, then obviously your visa application should be denied.
It would really just be due diligence for immigration services to be verifying this sort of thing before you let people enter the country.
Trump fired all watch dogs, who is watching Trump? Republicans damn sure are not they are yes yes yes, thank you sir may I have more. It is a shame to watch them be such useless pawns. It was bad before but at least they knew when to stop the idiot from killing the country. Now its not happening. Look at the stock markets.
Yes, probably since his childhood. At least since he was forced to attend military school with his beginning the 8th grade, but I would say that he learned it much earlier from his Daddy, who famously marched with the KKK in a parade in the 1930s.
Notwithstanding how awful things are getting here in the United States, there's a literal and figurative ocean between the two nations still in terms of individual rights, liberties, government censorship, etc. I'm beyond dismayed at the current trajectory of the United States, but as someone who generally enjoys freedom I'm not making plans to move to China anytime soon.
The US government here is asking to see the same stuff anybody else that comes across your social media page publicly can see. The Chinese government has access to every keystroke you ever type in any app on your phone. Your private notes, your private photos, your private messages. Thereās a massive difference.
Not really that massive. They're asking to carve out the 1st amendment, and have carte blanche authority to decide who would be a "bad fit" for becoming a citizen based off their social.
Prime example that SHOULD be outlandish but at this point is sadly realistic:
Trump Admin looks at social account of prospective citizen, sees they have made pro DEI posts and are members of pro DEI clubs - classifies those clubs as terrorists, bans them.
Trump Admin looks at social account of prospective citizen, sees they have made pro Don't-Invade-Greenland-you-idiot posts and are part of some of those groups, classifies those clubs as terrorists, bans them.
How does the government distinguish an applicantās genuine social media activity from manufactured activity? And what of those applicants who simply state (truthfully or otherwise) that they do not have an account?
Also, does an OnlyFans account fall into this new draconian surveillance web? š³
This, in itself, violates the concept of free speech guaranteed under the Constitution and should be rejected by all who call themselves Americans. One can not have their cake and eat it unless they are a thief.
Very much depends. If you're in the US on a student visa, the First Amendment protects you from prosecution for speech.
But the power to issue and revoke visas is completely up to the Executive branch, and they can effectively be withdrawn or revoked for any reason or no reason at all, which is how it should be.
The constitution protects citizens of the United States. If you arenāt a citizen, that doesnāt apply. The amount of upvotes youāre getting is sad.
This is not true!! The constitution references persons as well as citizens. Persons in deed due have some natural rights from the constitution. albeit limited.
How could it have not been something that they were looking at before? Anyway, that should always been a law. to investigate that deeply into people that want to be citizens.
If this insane administration looks at a social account, sees they're pro DEI, and then denies them citizenship for that reason by labelling them a terrorist.
That sound like the kinda country you're proud to live in?
Speaking as a green card holder, who in their right mind would want to come here now? Who would want to be a citizen? Want to be taxed even if you leave the country??
Oligarchs who don't want to pay taxes. Sure, there are countries with even lower marginal tax rates on rich people, but you probably wouldn't want to live in those countries either, and rich people with passive income streams don't pay those tax rates anyway.
I doubt they care much what the wealthy say in their socials, this is definitely aimed at the more poorer end of the spectrum and/or the more bleeding heart liberals on the political spectrum.
Of course they don't care what rich people -- especially those capable of bribing Trump directly -- would say on social media, but that has nothing to do with the question you posed. You said, "who in their right mind would want to come here now?" and that is what I was responding to. This move is clearly an attempt to prevent people who are critical of Trump and Republicans from coming here, and certainly most of those people would not even wish to come given where we are as a country. I'm sure a lot of Americans would leave if they had the means. Just because something is a boneheaded waste of time doesn't mean that Trump and his people won't try to do it, at least until it gets blocked in the courts.
Love will make you do all sorts of crazy things. I think it goes without saying applicants can get away with any amount of racism provided their white but opposing our allys ethnic cleansing and collective punishment would be a big no no
Everyone applying for a Visa to the US: Go to x.com and Facebook.com and truthsocial.whatever it is and make new accounts. Start posting about how great Trump is, say things like how much you love his big manly hands and how his golf swing makes him look thin and how his plans for tariffs are brilliant. Throw in some comments about how funny Musk is. AI generate some photos of Trump and Putin shirtless on a horse together and post those. When you're asked, give DHS those accounts. Instant green card.
And don't worry, by the time they get to your application the federal government will not have enough employees to check if you have other "real" accounts.
For legal purposes, this entire post is satire and nothing, especially the comments about Trump and Musk, are true or should be taken as legal advice.
So, how long until Musk makes it that you need to not just have a Twitter account ("no social media account declared means you have something to hide") but probably need to be blue ticked verified?
How soon until Twitter offers Platnium Verified Tick Citizenship i.e. buying USA citizenship with a monthly subscription to keep citizenship?
