Lego debuts an awesome 3,306-piece replica of the 1989 Batmobile
Holy Bricks, Batman!
On Thursday, Lego announced its addition to the 80th anniversary celebration of Batman: a replica of the Batmobile as seen in Tim Burton's 1989 film, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this summer.
Complete with a slide-open cockpit, a wrap-around windshield, bat-themed hubcaps, two pop-up machine guns, and decorative grappling hooks, the model is comprised of 3,306 pieces, measuring 23 inches long, eight inches wide, and four inches high once assembled.
The set comes with three new minifigures of Batman, Vicky Vale, and the Joker — as well as Batman's Batarang, the Joker's gun, a brick-built camera for Vicky Vale, and a rotating display stand with informational plate, among other accessories.
The set is priced at $249.99 and will go on sale Black Friday (Nov. 29) through Lego stores and on Lego.com. Happy crusading!

ReplyDeleteYou’d effectively be buying each LEGO piece for $1.32. Idk but that sounds pricey.

ReplyDeleteThis was a very interesting take on a review Boone, which I love! It really is a beautiful set though.
ReplyDeleteI can't get this set because it is $250 so to bad I really like the Minifigures and the build.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Batman closeup. It confirms my fear. I was going to buy the set and sell the actual model JUST to keep the minifigs. Love that Cowl. But the cape is hardened and I couldnt just sit that Batman into my own minifig scaled Batmobiles to play with. So I'll have to pass. Wish it was that cowl with the usual cloth cape.
ReplyDeleteGood to know the Batmobile runs on 97 Octanes. Should be able to refuel pretty much anywhere.
ReplyDeleteLove this review. Love the car. Love batman
