Photos of Steve Carell in Netflix's 'Space Force' have us very, very excited
Moving to space sounds more and more tempting these days, but the closest we're getting for a while is Netflix's Space Force, which premieres in May. On Wednesday, Netflix revealed the first photos of star Steve Carell as general Mark R. Naird, an air force pilot who ends up in command of the new military branch.
Netflix also revealed that Friends star Lisa Kudrow will join the cast as Mark's wife Maggie, Carell's second time this year appearing on screen with a Friends star (no complaints here). The cast includes John Malkovich, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, and more.
Space Force was created by Carell with The Office's Greg Daniels, described by Netflix as "a new kind of workplace comedy." It stemmed in part from Donald Trump's 2018 comments about establishing an independent Space Force, which he went on to do in 2019.
Space Force hits Netflix on May 29.
Glad we have space force and death panels instead of a coherent pandemic response, thanks Depression Donny!

Is that Jing Yang?
ReplyDeleteWonder how long it'll take for trump to threaten a lawsuit over this....

ReplyDeleteYes please now
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm going to just mark my empty calendar.....
ReplyDeleteDamn, I wanted to be the Space Commander, looks like Steve Carell beat me to it.
ReplyDelete!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Morning show is not for me at all. So I’m excited to see Steve is something different. And teaming with Kudrow, Willard and Malcovich. Nice.
ReplyDeleteEgad! Can’t stand either of them. This went straight to No.1 on the Must Miss list.
ReplyDeleteBut you cared to click to comment
DeleteDon’t use logic. It frightens them
DeleteThere is an impressive cast assembled here but my choice for breakout star would be Jimmy Yang. He was great in limited screen time on Silicon Valley.
ReplyDeleteOMG so exciting!
ReplyDeleteYes and yes!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great.
ReplyDeletePleasantly surprised they managed to land Malkovich for this

DeleteMalkovich looks like a white Ed Bradley.

ReplyDeleteCan't wait. This is my most anticipated show
ReplyDeleteSo is Matt Goldberg a billionaire? Trump may be a lot of things but the "dumbest President" is not one of them. Keep the comments about the show, not your political opinion.
ReplyDeleteWhere's YOUR supporting documentation for who was dumbest? While you're at it, trot out some answers for 'least empathic' and most likely to be the stooge of a foreign Government.
DeleteThere is a good reason why this show is a comedy.
ReplyDeleteMost people don't get it.
I'll break it down for you.... Space is fake.
It's very on the nose when you get it.. Most people don't because they think space exists and that NASA is telling them the truth.
Hollywood unfortunately brainwashed many people into thinking that it exists.
Most people admit that their government lies to them but they never include the possibility that their government could also be lying about the shape of the earth.
It's like saying to the government : "you can fool me about this but don't you dare fool me about that. OK?" and there goes their critical thinking. Lol!
The earth is flat and there is no space. Not a flat version of your fake globe mind you. It's a different design with a dome.
See the Lucasfilm logo that references the dome and the whole flat earth model.
The "Ltd" is under the dome. The symbols to the right and left of "Ltd" are representative of the sun and the moon which are in fact under the dome and not in "space"

Following from my comment above about it being a comedy...
DeleteIt's the same reason why "The Big Bang Theory" and "3rd rock from the sun" are also comedies.
Space is fake and so is the whole "Big bang theory"
The bigger joke is on YOU who isn't aware of it and still thinks we are evolved monkeys on a spinning ball.
