Emotional 'Naomi Osaka' trailer invites us into the tennis superstar's life
Naomi Osaka is one of the best tennis players in the world, and in Netflix's upcoming documentary series Naomi Osaka, she tells the story of her life beyond the court. The three-part series, directed by Garrett Bradley, will explore her journey in the tennis world, as well as her personal life.
According to Bradley, "The series is about Naomi's journey, within a snapshot of her life, but it’s also about life's purpose, about personal worth, about the courage that it takes to allow one's personal values to inform their work and vice versa."
Caught me off guard with that Netflix
ReplyDeleteWAAAAAYYYY OFF GUARD.
DeleteWAAAAAAAYYYYY WAAAAAAAYYYYY OFF GUARD
DeleteWas it just me that got teary eyed watching this? Its only the trailer so I already know that I’m going to be crying when this comes out!
ReplyDeleteI’m definitely going to binge watch this.
ReplyDeleteI wish people can understand how hard a professional tennis player (and any athlete) has to work to keep playing at such a high level. Naomi is an inspiration and she has done an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteYou have given a life to do so much, and you choose to play a sport for quater of your life and then you want us to applause for you.
DeleteWHY??
Lovely Naomi. Take a moment to smell the flowers and listen to the birds sing. We look forward to cheering you on!
ReplyDeleteSo glad she did this. I think people assume athletes are extroverts.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely gonna watch this.
ReplyDeleteI cried when I watched this. I love this woman so much
ReplyDeleteNaomi Osaka fought against the French open while everyone is talking about > Brittany spears
ReplyDeleteShes so amazing - I can't believe how she was treated for pausing media interviews - am so glad she has the opportunity to put her thoughts out there
ReplyDeleteIt was heartbreaking to see someone open up and say: I’m struggling with this, which must have been so difficult for her to do in the first place. Only to have people come at her like that. Especially after the year we’ve had, the response was disheartening. I’m also glad she gets to tell her story on her terms though. This looks really good.
DeleteMy dad tells me the same thing... like this looks so good and I'm already cryingggg.
ReplyDeleteI hope they have Japanese subtitles so they can understand her too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will, but fun fact - a lot of Japanese students learn English in school. It's only the U.S. where most of the residents are not bilingual.
DeleteJapanese subtitles available on Netflix Japan upload.
DeleteAnd the UK. Those are basically the same country nowadays anyway, none of us here are bilingual and we're lurching towards the US rather than Europe
DeleteIf any of the tennis star who deserves documentary series is her.
ReplyDeleteYou can never make a victim of someone who anything but a victim.
ReplyDeleteI love her even more now!!
ReplyDeleteOk, Naomi! I’m not even gonna hate. Make your money, girl!
ReplyDeleteI love her so much! Such a transparent and honest young woman to look up to ❤
