Our fellow pedophile and child rapist Americans with Trump made this possible with their stupidity and laughing stock pedophiles and child rapists are legal fact are pedophiles and child rapists themselves and are full blown accomplices under law.
I'm looking forward in supporting people who's facing a lot this month and needs a little extra help. If you're in a tough spot, hit me up "struggling" and I'll see what I can do.💙💯
It would be nice if OUR governments were a bit more transparent about what is happening to shut down all Nevada's State Offices and services. And the word "hack" isn't even used tho that's exactly what this brief 'news flash' is clearly describing. Secrecy is what authoritarians (fascists) do, and there's enough of that flushing out of Washington. We demand better from Governor Lombardo.
Interesting that not all of the state's web sited seem to be down. The sites that end in "nv.gov" all share a common IP range and are all down. The secretary of state site "nvsos.gov" is up. It is in a different IP range. I wonder if this is a DDoS attack?
Yesterday I was able to do the liquor application online and make an appointment for today for fingerprints. The gaming portal was, and still is down. This morning, the sheriff calls me to cancel my appointment because of the "network outage". I asked how long and she said"it could be days or weeks".
There were major system updates for Advantage taking place over the weekend. System security may have been lessened to allow GCI to connect to the system. A coincidentally perfect time to plan a system hack or attack....
I don't think DOGE is hacking anything. They are destroying the government from the inside so they don't have any incentive to hack.
Crimanial gangs - many of them Russian - hack all sorts of entities in the US, mostly for money. Hackers demand payment to stop their activities. They don't often target the US government. Maybe they fear retrebution or maybe the US gov sites are harder to hack or maybe because the federal government won't pay ransoms.
There have been dozens, if not hundreds of attacks against entities in Nevada over the last few years. There were hacks against:
Nevada Gaming Control in January 2024,
Clark County School District (CCSD) in October 2023,
Clark County Government in November 2016 and in October 2021,
Clark County Sanitation District in May 2016,
Las Vegas Valley Water Authority in 2016,
Washaw County School DIstrit (WCSD) in September 2019,
Nye County Schol District in May 2011,
City of Sparks in 2019,
University Medical Center (UMC) in 2011
MGM Resorts in September 2023 and in 2020
Caesars Entertainment in September 2023
Rancho Misquite Casino in November 2023
Sands Corporation in February 2014
Nevada Health Center in December 2020
There were various motivations for the attacks. Ransoms were demanded in a number of cases. In one case it was just a couple of students changing their grades. In one case it was anger about support for Israel. In some cases the motive was unclear or at lest not revealed to the public.
Damage ranged from almost nothing to days of systems being down and millions of dollars being spent to recover. Most resulted in loss of reputation and many required the entity to implement extensive (and expensive) data monitoring of customers whose data was compromised.
We may find out what kind of attack is happening now against the State of Nevada but without being on the inside or being the hackers it is impossible to know. The same is true about the identity of the hackers or their motivation. As I said the motivation is usually money but not always.
Because our moron dipshit dictator president thinks voter fraud is occurring in NV with no evidence.
DOJ has been pressing Aguilar to release drivers license, social security, and voter information to the Fed for a while. Information that they're not entitled to.
Aguilar/Lombardo have been consulting for AG's office to determine the legality or precedence of releasing that information to the DOJ.
DOJ is getting impatient. One of Elon's tech twinks who works for DOGE used to work for the State. If the State won't just give the information over, why not steal it.
While the Supreme Court may have given Trump immunity, it doesn't provide immunity to his minions. So DOGE perpetuating this hack would be a huge risk I doubt they'd be willing to take. Likely some foreign state backed actors. Not to say that these actors wouldn't turn around and provide this info to the Trump regime. Way safer to get Russia to do this then somehow receive the information or files under the guise of an official investigation by... you guessed it, the Trump FBI and DOJ.
One of my BFF’s works for the state but she logs into a federal site due to the nature of her job. Her Fed IP address was not affected but they still can’t work without the NV sites up because her job is all interconnected. Crazy!!! How much of our state info was taken, especially those of us that work/worked for the state and receive paychecks or pensions?!😳
I finally got my wife a dmv appointment she could make scheduled today and they cancelled it last night. Fml 🤦 Back to searching for someone cancelling again…
Nv Energy was supposed to hold a general consumer session today & had to cancel due to the outages. I’m not sure if they let the cat out of the bag or if it’s a typo, but they called it a “network security incident”. Which I mean duh.
Gee, I wonder how government operated before the f/n internet? Good thing we have the internet now, it makes things so much easier and less expensive. It's so efficient. DOOMED I TELL YOU... DOOMED!
They need to have the DMV's here open 24 hours a day and go back to printing the i.d.'s and permits and licenses on site again instead of mailing them from Carson City and give people the option to pay an extra fee for fingerprint identification or not pay a fee and have to provide a bunch of documents proving that they are who they say they are and I think that written tests should be able to be done online from a persons home and only have a couple locations that do the appointment thing.
due to network security incident? that woman brittney still getting a confirmation text for appointment is a good indicator that they need to hire more IT employees. cyber security at the dmv is a joke
Doesn’t surprise me at all, most government computer programs are 10-15 years out of date. In terms of technology that might as well be 100 years old as far as security
That’s very true but however this seems a lot more like a misconfiguration related issue. Gov agencies have compliance requirements that mandate robust network security hardware like fortigates or palo alto and those systems are very effective….unless they’re misconfigured then they become an advantage to a threat actor.
What happens when they dont do their internet security awareness classes. Like dont click on links, dont open emails from strange looking addresses. Like from Usgovernment office of Fbi security open now important lottery info inside.
@CrabbyOldLady we are forced monthly to watch silly classes on internet fraud and internet scamming. Pretty good expert. Our town got hacked out of money that was supposed to go to contractor to build courthouse. The clerk got the email. Did not call the contractor or checked to verify, since the person gave them all different account to send money to. Instead of the one setup for the contract. Then they did it a 2nd time town paid again. Say some clerks were let go or investigated.
The FBI is now on the case.

ReplyDeleteMossad going in to do cleanup after a high ranking Jewish official was caught soliciting sex from a minor then allowed to fly back to Telaviv?

ReplyDeleteThey just finished converting from COBOL. Is it easier to crack now?

DeleteSpeculations:
ReplyDeleteIt's Russia. Because it's almost always Russia...
It's DOGE, on behalf of DOJ.
There were major system updates for Advantage taking place over the weekend. System security may have been lessened to allow GCI to connect to the system. A coincidentally perfect time to plan a system hack or attack....
Why just Nevada and not federal government ip?
DeleteNevada and federal government IP numbers are completly different. Or do I misunderstand the question?
DeleteSorry I meant why would DOGE or Russia specifically target Nevada and not the federal government?
DeleteI don't think DOGE is hacking anything. They are destroying the government from the inside so they don't have any incentive to hack.

Dang, didn’t realize there’s been so many attacks on Nevada gov. I knew about the casino attacks, not the private sector ones though.

DeleteWhat is "Advantage"?
DeleteThe states ERP system.
DeleteAnd GCI? Is that the vendor for Advantage?
DeleteDoes the state still use the services of ms-isac?
DeleteUnknown
DeleteMost retarded shit I've ever heard. ITS GOTTA BE RUSSIA! ONG! AND OUR OWN PEOPLE MUST BE BEHIND IT! take a conspiracy hike omg its getting old

ReplyDeleteI have found driving to Fallon is the fastest easiest way to get a DL. It's tiny little office and easy to just walk in-
DeleteThanks, but unfortunately that's too far since I'm in Vegas
DeleteFallon is also closed
DeleteYes- I just read the entire system of NV.gov is down
DeleteLawnboy fugate (https://www.propublica.org/article/trump-dhs-thomas-fugate-cp3-terrorism-prevention) didn’t catch it ?

The Public Utilities Commission (which is affiliated with the State) holds it, not NV Energy.
DeleteDoes this mean no emergency session for the state assembly?
ReplyDeleteBecause the Assembly randomly goes into session by itself?
DeleteThats crazy we got hacked
ReplyDeleteGee, I wonder how government operated before the f/n internet? Good thing we have the internet now, it makes things so much easier and less expensive. It's so efficient. DOOMED I TELL YOU... DOOMED!
ReplyDeleteIt happens all the time what's going on about it this ain't the first time or the last time get it together
ReplyDeleteLies
ReplyDeleteChina
ReplyDeleteClearly this was a hack, but we won't find out about it until a year or so later when an employee leaks the truth about customer's data.
ReplyDeletePay all those taxes for below average workers and service
ReplyDeleteSucks! I booked my DMV appointment 6 weeks ago. Now, I have to rescedule for another 6 weeks. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteDMV here is trash...every employee has a different answer to a same question ....it's ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteDidn't we just get skylink internet?
ReplyDeleteWthelly 😂 no wonder all the kiosk are down sheesh 😅
ReplyDeleteWhat happens when they dont do their internet security awareness classes. Like dont click on links, dont open emails from strange looking addresses. Like from Usgovernment office of Fbi security open now important lottery info inside.
ReplyDeleteGood to know that due to your extensive investigation, you have already explicitly identified the exact cause. Well done.
