  8. Isn't this also double dipping? Jarad Kushner's Affinity Partners is almost completely funded by Saudi Arabia.

That makes this a partnership of Silver Lake, Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabian given money to Kushner.

It's like nepotism encased in nepotism.

    6. The big picture here is that the wealthy have so much money, they are looking to turn everything into a means to invest because they are running out of shit to profit from.

If you have money in most of the stock market, you tend to break even when some shit goes up and other shit goes down. It averages out.

So then, what are your options?

find a way to make the whole market go up or down. (i.e. cash out before it goes down and buy)

stop companies from competing, and maximize milking of clients. (i.e. airlines)

find new shit to invest in and/or profit from. (i.e. subscriptions, Acretrader, Realpage, etc.)

Privatizing public companies so you can do internal financial shenanigans seems to be the new thing.

    1. And control the communications. The text and voice, to capture dissenting information and prevent people from talking about what's going on in one area or another. People have been using video games to talk about world events happening in real time for decades. People talking directly could potentially destroy anything they are tried to hide/lie about. Also so nations can't play/communicate/be friends with each other. They want every country at war with each other while normal citizens would rather just play video games against people around the world. They can't have that.

Newcastle blossomed with them being bought by PIF, other than being restrained by FIFA's "fairness" rules on spending money. 1. Not necessarily how Saudi does things.

They don't buy their way into everything to enforce their culture. They do it to enforce complicit silence about their culture. Want the bag? Then shut up about the female rights activist they imprisoned for a tweet. Nothing to see here, carry on.

Drawing attention to their influence is actually against their agenda. Their pressure is implicit, not explicit. They won't force you to do anything. But all the money might go away if you step out of line. And as long as the west can still pretend it has values and isn't just a whore for sale it's all good.

Right.. as if gaming hasn't been awful, overpriced, greedy, and propaganda trash for over a decade now. Anything from microtransactions, selling broken games, remake culture to pushing far-left ideology, LGBT stuff, feminism, DEI and ESG thanks to stuff like BlackRock, Vanguard, and Sweet Baby Inc.. gaming and EA have been trash for ages now. If anything, I can only enjoy seeing them suffer like Ubisoft and welcome these investors from non-Western countries to take these companies over pretty much. Hope it will kick out the far leftism culture that has been so prevalent in gaming, as seen by what they push in these products and with the way these game devs be yapping on X (twitter).
