Billie Eilish wins big at Grammys, duh

Billie Eilish, the breakout artist of 2019, solidified her musical success with four Grammy wins on Sunday night.

The 18-year-old Los Angeles native won Grammys for Song of the Year for "Bad Guy," Best New Artist, Album of the Year for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, and Record of the Year for "Bad Guy," sweeping the biggest awards of the evening.

Early on in the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Eilish and her brother/songwriter Finneas took the stage for a beautiful performance of "When the Party's Over." The duo both accepted the award for "Bad Guy" and When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

In her acceptance speech for Album of the Year, Billie Eilish shouted out Ariana Grande's album, and Finneas admitted that they had no clue that they were going to win, but he was grateful nonetheless.

The pair, already having been on stage so many times in the telecast's final moments, kept their final acceptance speech ultra-brief: "thank you!"

  1. An awesome kid who makes awesome music. Saw her in Dec ‘18 before she really got big at one of those radio holiday shows. She played before Third Eye Blind 😂 All of the teens were so excited, knew every word. The 30 and 40 somethings didn’t know. My 40yo friend said “I don’t know who this girl is but she is amazing!”

  2. Glad to see it’s not just me that doesn’t get all the hype around her! I see it as soggy fruity pebbles, not horrible but definitely needs more crunch and definition!

    1. my favorite moment was her telling Sharon Isbourne that she looked cute....nothing like a 16 yr old telling a 60 something woman she looks cute.

  3. I don’t like her music but I’m really happy for both. Keep humble and enjoy your moment!!! Congrats!!!!

  4. Depressing music. They even said they wrote and album about depression and suicide. And she is 18. I was hoping Lizzo would win.

    3. Many musicians use music to deal with mental illness. It can be therapeutic for both the musician and their fans.

  8. Well, at her fresh young age of 18-19, I appreciated her humility, gratitude and the fact that she was practically the only person on the stage tonight that stepped outside of herself and thanked the fans.

  9. What a bunch of haters. I love her music (and I'm a boomer).
Why such negative vibes about a truly unique and talented gal?

    1. nothing unique about her

    2. Well first of all, who else sounds like her? Nobody. That equals unique.
Second of all: you do know that musical taste is a very individual thing. No right or wrong so why all the hate in these comments.
      Doesn't make sense to me.

    3. She may be really good when I can understand her words one day.

    4. I thought I had heard a new song by her, but then realized YouTube had auto played a total different, older, and longer running artist that Billie 'sings' like literally hours after her bad guy song hit the official youtube algorithms. So no, shes not exactly unique in the way that 'nobody sounds like her'. Your musical repretoir is just not expanded enough.

  10. I can't say that I haven't enjoyed a song or two but for the most part I think her music sucks. However it's just my opinion. Im not saying she sucks as a musician just maybe she could sing using more than one or three notes....she can sing so I wish she would.

    2. I am not a musician sir. You got me there. Billie Eilish however is really not that good and others in contention fill three times as many people into a stadium as her at their concerts.....

    3. lol... she’s young and extremely talented. Music by her brother is very well done. Post Malone is an auto tuned turd doing the same crap done for years. Clearly when you’re wrong 4 times... you’re wrong
