'Don't Look Up' teaser introduces a star-studded cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence
Don't Look Up, directed by Adam McKay (The Big Short, Vice), features a truly stacked cast. Somehow, McKay has assembled Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Rob Morgan, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, and Tyler Perry in the same movie. And that's just the tip of the star-studded iceberg.
What are all these actors doing in this film? Oh, just trying to prevent the apocalypse. When two low-level astronomers (DiCaprio and Lawrence) discover a comet on a collision course with Earth, they go on a media tour to warn all of mankind. To their surprise, no one - not even the President of the United States (Streep) - seems to care that armageddon is only six months away.
Don't Look Up also stars Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis and Tomer Sisley.
Leo plays a guy having a meltdown in a restroom, so obviously he's playing Rick Dalton's grandson.
ReplyDeleteI'm not feeling I'm watching a movie trailer right now but the Oscars
ReplyDeleteAnd the Oscar goes to
DeleteOn that note, maybe they all deserve one
DeleteJonah and Leo back together again. They play off each other so well
ReplyDeleteI’ve really liked both “The Big Short” and “The Vice” and I am actually looking forward to this and see what Adam McKay does with this satire.
ReplyDeleteStudio: who do you want to cast? McKay: Everyoneeeeeee!
ReplyDeleteNetflix: "We want all the Oscar winners."
ReplyDeleteTyler Perry:
he just got a honorary oscar this year so he does count now lol netflix prolly paid for it
DeleteAll they needed to show was Leo in the bathroom having a panic attack and I would’ve been sold lol
ReplyDeleteWhen they said Netflix should not be allowed in awards
ReplyDeleteNetflix literally said, “then we’ll just buy Hollywood”
Word for word huh? At least TRY to be original … paraphrase or something.
DeleteThere’s a surreal accuracy to this situation, that’s both hilarious and poignant… >.<
ReplyDeleteLeo's hard breathing is his trademark he does that in most of his movies.ex:blood diamond climax
ReplyDeleteIt gives me anxiety
DeleteI love adam mckay, he's really flexing himself as a real master of political satire.
ReplyDeleteI like that he is unpredictable
Delete“You’re breathing is stressing me out!”
ReplyDeleteWell then get them pills out, Jonah;)
Leo be like i got the award already, took my sabbatical and now I can do anything just for fun.
ReplyDelete"Drought, famine, hole in the ozone.. it's so boring."
ReplyDeleteLeo: 0:58 thAt faCe!
Finnally leo giving us a movie after years of break....
ReplyDeleteNetflix you’ve done it again lol can’t wait to see this gem. That one scene along with Jonah Hill is priceless lmao
ReplyDelete“Your breathing is stressing me out” lmfao I’m going to love Jonah Hill in this
ReplyDeleteThis should be fun.
ReplyDeleteI wasn’t interested in this, then I saw the trailer and realized this is a comedy and not an end of the world drama, and now I’m in; ALL IN! Glad to see Adam McKay do another big studio comedy.
ReplyDeleteYay Meryl !! Love her. Been awhile for DiCaprio, he usually chooses his films wisely so this should be entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI am a simple man I just love watching leo playing a character.
ReplyDeleteGood to see Leo and Jonah reunite; they have great on screen chemistry!
ReplyDeleteFinally, a trailer that doesn't spill the entire plot of the movie
ReplyDeleteThat's because it's a teaser not a trailer
DeleteLove the cast! Looks like it will be suspenseful and funny.
ReplyDeleteLeo's breathing literally smothered me.
ReplyDeleteThis deserves a cinema release, just for the experience.
ReplyDeletei just had a great time repeating over and over leo's gasp at the beggining
ReplyDeleteAh, yes... another potential Leo's meme formats will be my fine collection
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait!! I always wanted the DiCaprio Streep duo on film together. It makes me so happy
ReplyDeleteLooks like another cheerful Christmas classic
ReplyDeleteThis looks ridiculous, can't wait to watch!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the holiday titled movies (Valentine's Day, New Years' Day) where there were a bunch of celebrities in one movie but the storyline was kinda meh. The only thing makin me doubt that this will be the same is that Leo is in it, and with how hands on he is with his projects, i doubt he will jump into something he finds mediocre.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how many times I asked myself "is that DiCaprio?" before it was confirmed to indeed be DiCaprio. Looks like he gained a pound or two for this role.
ReplyDeleteThis and "The Guilty" , the netflix sure has some pretty stacked up films lined up for this fall .
ReplyDeleteAnother proof that Netflix has money. Like a whole lot.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Seige World for having his music in a movie with Leo!
ReplyDeleteI love when Leo and Jonah are together in a movie
ReplyDeleteIn the beginning this looked like a drama, and then here comes Jonah ;D
ReplyDeleteLeo and Meryl back in a film together? its been since the 90s omg I'm living for this! and not to mention Leo and Jonah back in another film together as well!!
ReplyDeleteNetflix, "So...how many movie stars can we get into this?"
ReplyDeleteAlso Netflix, "Yes."
Alone the casting giving me goosebumps
ReplyDeleteDude it literally took me three times watching this trailer before I realized That’s Meryl Streep. That’s how good of an actor she is. But in general I’m excited for this.
ReplyDeleteLeo imo is one of the GOATS when it comes to acting. For the longest time I felt he deserved an Oscar more than anyone else up there. Then he got an Oscar and imo it was for the wrong film but dudes amazing and almost all films are Oscar Worthy imo. Correct me if I’m wrong cus my brain ain’t working but Leo isn’t one for Comedies right?
ReplyDeleteAlso I once told my wife that he can do know wrong and I love ALL his movies and he is the GOAT then she went and threw Romeo ~&~ Juliette in my face.
I just found out what I'm doing on Christmas Eve, thank you Netflix.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for my Christmas present Netflix, Christmas eve gonna be epic!
ReplyDeleteTHIS FILM WILL BE EPIC!! TIMOTHÉE!! ♥ﻬ♥
ReplyDeleteSuch a stacked cast amazing
ReplyDeleteLeo having that panic attack in the beginning is what hangxiety looks and feels like ;D
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense now. All the shows Netflix cancelled prematurely was to fund this film.
ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about McKay as a Director. His best movies are the Anchorman trilogy and then there are some not so good will ferrell movies.
