Steve from 'Blue's Clue's' surprising Stephen Colbert with a hug is truly heartwarming content

No, you're crying.

If you've been anywhere near the internet lately, you'll probably have seen that viral video of Steve Burns from the old Nick Jr. show Blue's Clues, popping up on Twitter on the 20th anniversary of him leaving the show to gently reassure us that he's still our friend after all these years.

Well, Stephen Colbert saw it too. And try as he might — even though it was his kids that were emotionally invested in the show, and definitely not him — he couldn't fully conceal his emotions when playing the clip back during Thursday's Late Show.

The good news? Burns himself was waiting in the wings to offer the host a much needed, comforting hug.

  12. The past few years have been... well bad. But then Steve comes back and we remember the world is also a place full of joy. Steve came back and it wasn’t enough so Stephen had him on too. Miss you Steve.

  15. i’m a freshman in college about to finish my third week. i still sing the mail song each time i check the mail. i got a little emotional watching this cause steve and blues clues were a big part of my childhood. thank u steve :)
