Michelle Obama takes Stephen Colbert's Questionert | Mashable.

Michelle Obama answering quickfire questions from Stephen Colbert is a fun time

   Some truly excellent answers.

Many celebrities have taken on Stephen Colbert's "Questionert" – basically a series of quickfire questions of the "Cats or dogs?" variety – and some have given answers that are hard to top (hello, Keanu Reeves).

But in the video above from The Late Show, Michelle Obama has a good go at it, answering everything from questions about her favourite smell ("My husband!") to the five words that best summarise the rest of her life ("Family, friends, in the sun").

Her best response, though, is probably to the question, "What do you think happens when we die?"

"We go to heaven," says Obama without hesitation. "Or, I do."

  8. I wish more Americans had the dignity, kindness and respect that the Obamas portray. We’ve become a bitter, unfriendly and unhappy culture. If it’s a beautiful day then be happy!

    ReplyDelete

    1. No. We’ve become distanced from friends and family, too comfortable and too entitled. People complain about everything insignificant instead of appreciating the good things we have. I become sad when I see Americans rudely yelling at working people like “I SAID EXTRA CHEESE ON MY PIZZA”. That’s not how we should be treating each other. We should be friendly and understanding and happy. People should stop complaining and smile/laugh more. It’s the key to happiness.

    1. I think it is delightful that you believe in heaven. That for you, all the laws of physics just magically change the day you die. Mind you, if these laws of physics change for everyone else that same day, airplanes will crash, buildings collapse, dead folks might get up and walk. Your book says that happened when Jesus died. And that will happen for you? My, you think a lot of yourself!

  58. for the grilled cheese lovers, butter your bread with used bacon grease. It's probably healthier than using margarine, at least it's not worse, and it tastes good and it crisps up REALLY nicely

    1. Spread a schmear of mayo on the outside, it’s a whole other level!

      Delete
    2. I'm not pro or anti mayo when it comes to grilled cheese, I like to use a small amount myself. My tactic is to melt everything in the pan then place the bread in the liquid, instead of using a knife to spread it. then pull the sandwich when it's done on one side and melt more bacon grease and then let the other side fry

    3. Be good to your heart and use butter made from the milk of grass-fed cows. Superior taste and health benefits to boot!
