It's not been long since the news broke that director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were found dead at their home in LA, but the tributes from Hollywood have already started to pour in.

Reiner had a long career in Hollywood, starting as an actor before moving on to direct some of the best known films of all time. Stand By Me, When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride, Misery, This is Spinal Tap and A Few Good Men are among his many movies. His most recent was Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, which came out earlier this year.
In the hours since his death, actors and politicians have taken to social media to share their tributes and memories of a Hollywood legend.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Guest released the following statement, per Variety:
“Christopher and I are numb and sad and shocked about the violent, tragic deaths of our dear friends Rob and Michelle Singer Reiner and our ONLY focus and care right now is for their children and immediate families and we will offer all support possible to help them. There will be plenty of time later to discuss the creative lives we shared and the great political and social impact they both had on the entertainment industry, early childhood development, the fight for gay marriage and their global care for a world in crisis. We have lost great friends. Please give us time to grieve.”

The son may try an insanity plea or something like OJ Simpson, if the crime doesn’t fit, then you must acquit.
ReplyDeletedoubt his lawyers will go that way
DeleteThey already didn't have him appear in court for "medical reasons". it's already going that way.
DeleteHeadline says "new details" -- story has no details. SMH...
ReplyDeleteRob Reiner was delighted and celebrated when he heard Rush Limbaugh had cancer.
DeleteIs that what FOX told you? Or did you hear it yourself? Know it wasn't the second one because he never made light of another's death, especially one they couldn't control.
DeleteA simple video search is all it takes.
Deletethats cause he was scum
DeleteRL was a piece of doodoo. I celebrated too when that hypocritical blowhard bought the farm.
DeleteNow I know why Lions eat thier young!.
Deletegood riddance libtard
ReplyDeleteThat is how the left would react. Want to be just like them?

ReplyDeleteOLD STALE CLICKBAIT NEWS
ReplyDeleteRob Reiner did not die, he was killed. Another human being took his and his wife’s Llves through a violent act.
ReplyDeleteThere is a difference.
Worse, his son is said "human being".
DeleteDamn. A proper legend. RIP.
ReplyDeleteSuch sad news. What a legacy
ReplyDeleteLegend RIP
ReplyDeleteJust gutted. I grew up on All in the Family. He had an amazing directing career, too.
ReplyDeleteWeird. I was just reading about him and the greater Marshall family last week.
ReplyDeleteRIP. How terrible there's this sort of violence in our world.
We heard
ReplyDeleteIt's a horrible and sad thing. Rob was by all accounts a good man, loved by those he worked with, and respected for who he was. Cary Elwes loves him dearly as did so many actors who worked with him. What a terrible hole in so many hearts for this loss. For both of them.
ReplyDeleteI met him a few times via political work over a decade ago, and he was very kind to the support staff nobodies like me, so I’m guessing he genuinely was a lovely person.
DeleteHow terribly sad, he was super funny
ReplyDeleteThe amount of movies I love that were directed by him is insane. I don't even know which one to pick as a honor watch.
ReplyDeleteBased on what I read, one of his sons is being held this morning.
ReplyDeleteThis is really tragic
ReplyDeleteSaw police “pres conference” last night and it was weird. Only one police guy was there; he looked and sounded confused and announced they had no suspect.
ReplyDeleteMay his memory and his wife Michele’s memory be a blessing.
ReplyDeleteOn top of all this, my 104 year old grandpa, my mom’s dad and a shoah survivor passed away yesterday morning. Doing all the funeral arrangements and planning has been stressful enough without the tragedy of the last day. I am beyon drained. Baruch Hashem, he had an amazing, long beautiful life. He had a pretty severe cognitive decline after Covid, and I’m frankly grateful he wasn’t as aware of the horrors our people are enduring. Again.
ReplyDeleteThe best I can do is make a beautiful playlist for his funeral to honor his memory. Which involves listening to a LOT of mournful Yiddish and Hebrew songs. Mourning upon mourning upon mourning. Will it ever stop? I fear it will only get worse. I worry for my husband who is a chazzan and his shul has big glass windows facing the street. I have nearly constant fear that someone will just shoot through the glass. Fuck. This is so fucking awful. I’m bereft of more eloquent words to describe it, I’m so exhausted.
What happened in my country, Australia. Then this. What's next?
ReplyDeleteFucking horrible! Can the parade of horrors just fucking STOP NOW please??
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of him and his father just yesterday, because of the Dick Van Dyke 100 birthday coverage.
May their memory be for a blessing
I really shouldn't read the news so soon after I wake up. 😭😭
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it. This is devastating. He was so talented. I just love his movies!
My heart breaks for them and their family. I can't imagine what it was like for the daughter who found them. My heart goes out to her. What a tragedy...
And poor Mel Brooks. This sucks so bad.
RIP Rob and Michele.
That’s how I found out about Bondi Beach yesterday. I was half asleep, still in bed, open up Reddit, and see horrible images first thing
DeleteI'm lighting both Chanukah and yarzeit candles tonight
ReplyDeleteI just saw this two minutes ago! I loved his work. Oh, this is sad.
ReplyDeleteYou can't keep up with all the tragedies. How horrible.
ReplyDeleteEven crazier is that it was reportedly the son, not some unknown criminal. Makes it all the more sad to me.
DeleteI can’t stand this anymore. This is the worst year ever. 😔
ReplyDeleteUnbelievably sad.
ReplyDeleteBaruch dayan haEmet
ReplyDeleteBad news comes in 3s.
ReplyDeleteIf we don’t count Brown we just hit it
The word tragedy feels woefully inadequate today
ReplyDeleteI wasn't even a huge fan of his, but wtf this is awful. What a terrible, terrible day all around
ReplyDeleteRest in peace. Ok thats enough now. Something good needs to happen, no more jews being murdered. This has been a sucky couple of years.
ReplyDeleteI can’t even.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrible day.
This has been a horrible weekend
ReplyDeletewhat!? awful, just awful.
ReplyDelete💔
ReplyDeleteOh that's terrible news. What terrible these days
ReplyDeleteFirst Australia, now this. Today fucking sucks, man. Rest in peace to an iconic director. May his memory and his wife's memory be a blessing.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
Delete“Today fucking sucks” is all I’ve got, too.
DeleteDefinitely 😭
DeleteI am really heartbroken today.
ReplyDeleteThis hurts.
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS A HORRIBLE DAY.
ReplyDeleteEven crazier is that reportedly it was the son that killed his parents here.
DeleteI'm shocked...
💔
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace, Mr. & Mrs. Rob & Michele Reiner 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
ReplyDeleteMy mom and I were talking about this, she doesn’t understand why anyone would want to do this, same with the Australia shooter.
ReplyDeleteWhy people on left apparently hating on guy himself? As far i know this was tragic on all sides
DeleteThis comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteA significantly higher amount of people than wanted yours.
DeleteYou think you have more right to share your crap opinions?
DeleteYou dropped your red hat.
DeleteProbably more than want yours.
DeleteHe’s not even washed???? He’s doing fine for himself.
DeleteNobody asked how you feel about him posting a simple tribute either.
DeleteI just watched the tribute to Rob and Michele Reiner....
ReplyDeleteRob was an internationally renowned director and actor. I have verry little knowledge on Michele in my life. I did learn she's a photographer of the dumpster's for the art of the steal book. Art of the Deal. It truly breaks my heart that this President would say they have TDS. Dump derangement syndrome. It's unspeakable. It's like shitting on 9/11 victims. Rob gave us so much movie culture. From The Princess Bride to A Few Good Men. Gramps is angry at the world and lashing out. This isn't healthy. I'm sad for us Americans. We're a melting pot that is being unstirred by an old bigot!
Seth’s line of, “But you do need that one ounce” still echoes in my head. And it still makes my eyes water.
DeleteThat was brutal
DeleteVery true
DeleteThe most horrible thing about this tragedy is that they were murdered. I've been watching since all in the family, and I'm kind of still in shock. But I just found out that the second most horrible thing about it is not really that truth social report from our malignant president. It's that Rob was working on his next project, which was going to show people what Trump was doing after Roy Cohn died but before he ran for the Republican nomination the first time, so 1986 to 2011. It was all going to be laid out before us, revealing how he wound his way to the presidency and why and how it is serving him, or serving other people who use him, more like. We all need to grieve because this is the saddest thing in the world. But I hope somebody picks up that project.
ReplyDeleteI found out about that project a few days ago when someone told me I must be MAGA because I didn't believe their conspiracy theory that the government had Rob and Michele killed because of it and framed the son.
DeleteYou know, if Trump hadn’t posted those comments, I never would have even entertained a thought like that. However, it was such a strange response to an obvious tragedy that I can see where people might get those ideas.
DeleteGaslight Obstruct Project
DeleteOh my God I never heard that theory. But yeah, I would need some evidence to go along with that. The Apprentice was shown in theaters and mostly people didn't even go. Nobody got stabbed.
DeleteI don’t want to take it from Reiner when his body’s barely cold, but I hope someone finishes that project.
DeleteI'm guessing that it's what he would want.
DeleteI actually wish that they had spent more time on Rob and Michelle and less attention on the President’s petty words.
ReplyDelete
DeleteThere will be tributes. People are taking their time to prepare stuff.
Unfortunately what Seth and Kimmel criticised really needed to be said. Can you imagine any other leader saying something like that? Absolutely no one. It needed to get out to everyone who had not heard it. So that they could learn from it and make better choices in the future.
I will say having a figure that says "My doink fell off!" is a thing now while talking about horrible events. Peace ✌️
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks for their family this holiday season.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened is so terrible
ReplyDeleteSo heartbreaking on so many levels.
ReplyDeleteRIP
ReplyDeleteI was completely shocked to hear this!
ReplyDeleteGreat podcast series he did about who killed JFK if anyone hasn’t heard it.
ReplyDeleteThis one hurts badly!!!!
ReplyDeleteListening to the tributes to Rob Reiner I had forgotten he played Michael “Meathead” in the tv show All in the Family.
ReplyDeleteOmg! I had no idea that was him! He was fantastic in that role.
DeleteYup. Loooong time ago!
DeleteSo very sad. Can't believe it.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a tragic, unimaginable situation. Devastating loss.
ReplyDeleteTHEIR SON SUPPOSEDLY STABBED THEM BOTH TO DEATH, IS LAST I HEARD, SO VERY SAD & UPSETTING!!! 😢
ReplyDeleteHe didn't stab them he slit both their throats
Deletewhy did their son do this omgg
ReplyDeletehe had a history of addiction, could’ve been tweaking
DeleteThis is so unbelievably tragic….RIP Meathead.Time for a Spinal Tap double feature!
ReplyDeleteHe and his wife were killed by their son, according to People magazine.
ReplyDeleteThis is so incredibly sad. I can’t even process why or how this could happen. Rob Reiner (and I presume his wife) have brought nothing but joy to this world
ReplyDeleteEdit: their son is being questioned as a suspect
suspect?, their son killed them both.
DeleteHe and his wife were stabbed by his son
ReplyDeleteR.I.P! 🙏
ReplyDeletestabbed to death by this son
ReplyDeleteHis last acting credit on IMDB is Conan's podcast...
ReplyDeleteUnbelievably devastating. What especially hurts is that with his dad’s genes, he could have had another couple decades in him.
ReplyDeleteCause of Death:
ReplyDeleteMultiple sharp force injuries
Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, died on December 14 from multiple sharp force injuries, as determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. The manner of death has been ruled as homicide.
