It's Christmas Eve, which means Santa Claus has started his annual journey around the world — and you can track his progress.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)'s Santa tracker is now live. It tracks the Jolly One's whereabouts as he crosses the globe delivering presents. NORAD Tracks Santa has been an annual Christmas tradition since 1955, when it first launched as a hotline for children to call and get updates on its status.

The hotline still exists, but you can also visit noradsanta.org and see Santa's progress in real-time.

The website shows Santa and his reindeer flying over a 3D satellite map of the globe, complete with gifts delivered (over 1.7 billion and counting as of publication), Santa's ETA for the next major destination, and his most recent visit. You can also click into icons on the map and learn about various locations by switching to a 2D map along his route.

    6. He isn't delivering anything in America.

Going to get deported by ICE as an illegal migrant who is out doing delivery.

  8. I'm a mid 40's adult with no kids. I still fire up the Santa Tracker website every year and trsck him while watching Christmas movies. When he gets to Canada I start screaming "He's in Canada! He's here!" for my whole household to hear.

  9. Love it. One of my fav traditions.

Would be nice if they redid the animations/videos though. I don't think they have updated them since they split off from Google, and google made its own, much less popular, Santa tracker in competition with them.

  10. In a drunken stupor Pete Hegseth confused Santa for a narco terrorist and attempted to blow him up with surface to air missiles - thankfully Santa has a newly installed iron dome system and was able to defend himself.

  22. I can't get a human this year. I called several times, only to be put on hold (10 min was longest). I did get 1 recording of Santa leaving Switzerland on his way to Luxembourg and that was after waiting several minutes. It's sad.

    1. Actually he did--in the person of Saint Nicholas--who inherited his parents fortune after their early deaths. After their passing, young Nicholas read the story of the Rich Young Ruler in the gospels--a young man who inherited great wealth but was unwilling to give it all away to follow Christ. Nicholas decided to do the opposite. He spent his life giving his wealth away to those in need. An A&E documentary on the origin of Santa Claus can be found on youtube explaining this true story of St. Nick. It is an interesting and excellent program.
