Track Santa live with NORAD Christmas Eve
It's Christmas Eve, which means Santa Claus has started his annual journey around the world — and you can track his progress.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)'s Santa tracker is now live. It tracks the Jolly One's whereabouts as he crosses the globe delivering presents. NORAD Tracks Santa has been an annual Christmas tradition since 1955, when it first launched as a hotline for children to call and get updates on its status.
The hotline still exists, but you can also visit noradsanta.org and see Santa's progress in real-time.

The website shows Santa and his reindeer flying over a 3D satellite map of the globe, complete with gifts delivered (over 1.7 billion and counting as of publication), Santa's ETA for the next major destination, and his most recent visit. You can also click into icons on the map and learn about various locations by switching to a 2D map along his route.

Flightradar also tracks Santa though it doesn't jive with NORAD, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteNo one tell Hegseth, he might order a double tap on Ol' Saint Nick.

ReplyDeleteFor anyone that wants to see and not open the article.
Thank you 👍
DeleteYou're very welcome.
DeleteThe article has context and the history.
DeleteI love that this is still a thing.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Santa has to stop at the US border this year to pay the tariff on all the gifts he’s carrying in to the US.
ReplyDeleteNah he has security clearance and a NEXUS pass, hes fine. 👌

If he isn’t detained by ICE while passing through

DeleteEspecially because he didn’t buy the f35
DeleteUSAF (and soon CAF) F-35s are already covering Santa's ass, he doesn't need to acquire any.

He isn't delivering anything in America.
DeleteGoing to get deported by ICE as an illegal migrant who is out doing delivery.
At least he made it....I was pretty sure we'd see a Hegseth video...
DeleteWow! Love that this is still going strong. I remember watching this as a kid and loving it.
ReplyDeleteBest part of the job
ReplyDeleteI'm a mid 40's adult with no kids. I still fire up the Santa Tracker website every year and trsck him while watching Christmas movies. When he gets to Canada I start screaming "He's in Canada! He's here!" for my whole household to hear.

Love it. One of my fav traditions.
ReplyDeleteWould be nice if they redid the animations/videos though. I don't think they have updated them since they split off from Google, and google made its own, much less popular, Santa tracker in competition with them.
In a drunken stupor Pete Hegseth confused Santa for a narco terrorist and attempted to blow him up with surface to air missiles - thankfully Santa has a newly installed iron dome system and was able to defend himself.

You serious, Clark?
ReplyDeleteIt was so magical as a child 🥰
ReplyDeleteWe used to normalize fun and innocent news.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately he might be blown up for smuggling drugs according to the US Navy.
ReplyDeleteSurprised it hasn’t been shut down as a matter of “national security” by the orange windbag.
ReplyDeleteCareful ice may deport him
Delete"New tradition, ICE Tracks Santa, less warmly received."
ReplyDeleteI hope Santa brought lots of flares and chaff, kids in Ukraine deserve a wicked cool Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLove that this is going still, but I'm worried Santa will get detained by ICE and not make it to the rest of the Canuck kids.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about “treasured.” Always seemed to be an annual PR event to raise public awareness of NORAD. But, whatever. Not much creative about it.
ReplyDeleteThe amount of people who have to bring Trump into this comment section is incredible.
ReplyDeleteThis tracker has him about to blitz into Venezuelan airspace in like 5 minutes lol.
ReplyDeleteSuspiciously F-35 shaped sleigh this year?
DeleteLmao imagine being the poor radar operator who has to explain that one to command
Delete"Sir, we have an unidentified sleigh approaching at Mach 3, should we scramble fighters?"
I can't get a human this year. I called several times, only to be put on hold (10 min was longest). I did get 1 recording of Santa leaving Switzerland on his way to Luxembourg and that was after waiting several minutes. It's sad.

ReplyDeleteQuick, to bed! Santa just posted on Instagram that he's next door

DeleteYou serious Clark?
ReplyDeleteIt’s true! “Santa” put several gifts under our tree about 15 minutes after midnight.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this picture! I am going to show my kids, they desperately wanted to see Santa over Victoria!
ReplyDeleteAww that’s amazing!! It was a complete coincidence, but I’m so glad I caught it!! Tell your kids that one of the perks of being in university is that you can stay up late to catch Santa on the tracker 😉😉😂
DeleteCan you stay up late to watch tracker to check/ catch Santa????????
DeleteI mean I will pretend sleep lol
I love that site and check it every year. I've figured out how to position the camera so I can see the inside of a reindeer (they're hollow, with pistoning hip joints).
ReplyDeleteThat’s so cool, I’ll have to try it next year!!
DeleteYou position the camera right in front of Rudolph then move forward a tiny bit.
DeleteIm pretty sure this is fake.
ReplyDeletePretty sure hey?
Delete%67 sure 😝
DeleteYou’re a delight aren’t you
DeleteIts looks photoshopped
DeleteWoah, you mean NORAD doesn’t actually track Santa with their fancy spy government radar??? Oh my gosh. Hahaha 😂😂
DeleteIt seems very unlikely.
DeleteSanta never existed
ReplyDeleteActually he did--in the person of Saint Nicholas--who inherited his parents fortune after their early deaths. After their passing, young Nicholas read the story of the Rich Young Ruler in the gospels--a young man who inherited great wealth but was unwilling to give it all away to follow Christ. Nicholas decided to do the opposite. He spent his life giving his wealth away to those in need. An A&E documentary on the origin of Santa Claus can be found on youtube explaining this true story of St. Nick. It is an interesting and excellent program.

DeleteAccording to the flight path on X---Santa appears to be drunk.
