Xiaomi's Apple Watch clone costs $61, has 9-day battery life
Xiaomi's new smartwatch won't win any originality contests — it's a dead-ringer for Apple Watch. But it beats the Apple Watch in two key regards, and by a massive margin.
The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, as it's called, is a rectangular smartwatch with a 1.4-inch LCD display, with 320x320 pixel resolution. It supports phone notifications, music controls, fitness tracking with 11 sports modes, heart-rate monitoring, and sleep monitoring.
The watch is water resistant with a 5 ATM rating, and has a built-in GPS/GLONASS positioning chip, as well as a barometer and an accelerometer.
And while the Mi Watch Lite doesn't have all the advanced features of Apple Watch, such as precise blood oxygen level measurement, it wins on one very important feature: battery life. According to Xiaomi, the Mi Watch Lite will last up to 9 days, in contrast to Apple Watch's 18 hours of advertised battery life.
The battery life on the Mi Watch Lite shrinks to just 10 hours if you turn on GPS in a sports mode, however.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite is also incredibly cheap for what it offers. According to Android Central, it will cost just 50 euros ($61) in Europe when it launches on Dec. 22. Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite won't be available in the U.S.

Xiaomi already has the much more expensive Amazfit line, makes sense it would "clone" Apple for its cheapo stuff ;P

DeleteWhat did it copy except poorly the design? Apple watch is the only smart watch between all ‘smartwatches’ does xiaomi have native app for most phone apps or something? Or sensors with apples precision that not even garmin is at that level even if thats more expensive by many times over. Or does it have even one 4th of performance? This is a fitness band with fancy design, and priced as one, if you think more of it is from your lack of tech knowledge and experience.
DeleteBut not bad for a cheap smartband for those who cannot afford real smart devices or do not want to spend on full devices, alternative to normal watches. Xiaomi makes some great devices at really low prices.
And the watch is actually better. Apple is just over priced bcoz they famous
